Missed Opportunities

We have been living in our home for 9 years, which is almost a record for both my husband and I. We both have moved a lot in our lives, especially me. I lived in 7 homes before graduating from high school and if we were anywhere for too long my mother would re-arrange the furniture so it felt like a new home. To me, change is a part of life and making new friends has always been on the back burner because I never stayed anywhere long enough to bond with a special someone. I have lots of people I know, and many people that are dear to me in my life. I am very picky with who I allow in because I have a firm belief that if "it" doesn't bring me joy then a change needs to come. I say "it" because this could be a house plant, home or a friend.

Cruisin' for a Cure

Today my husband Steve and I went out in our hot rod to the Orange County fairgrounds. For 10 years now the fairground hosts a hot rod show that benefits prostate cancer. It is a good cause and kind of fun. I think the car enthusiasts like it much more than I do. Personally I like to go just to have a chance to hang out with Steve in a different setting than our family room couch!

Introducing the Chester the Friendly Monster

This 13 1/2" tall cute little guy is hand made of fleece and felt. He is stuffed with fiberfill to be soft and squishy. What do you think about him? Please comment.

Which Clown do you prefer?

Here are 2 hand made clowns. One is stuffed with beans making him heavy and floppy while the other is stuffed with fiberfill which makes him soft and squishy. Which one do you prefer? Please comment.

Introducing Simon

Simon is my newest Daily Whisper doll. He is 22" tall and hand made of fleece. His heart is felt and he has 3 rows of Rik-rack around his belly which makes him washable. What do you think about Simon? Please comment.

Introducing Oscar the Friendly Monster

This cute fellow was hand made out of fleece and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. I can make him in any color and personalize the heart with a child's name. He stands 13 1/2" tall and is washable. My friends that have seen him say he looks a lot better in person, I just can't seem to capture his essence on camera. I have him on sale on my Etsy site for $24.00 and I have had a lot of looks but no bites. Do you think the price is too high, or is there something else I should know about why he is not being purchased. What do you think? Please comment.
