Here is what people a few are saying about the Daily Whisper Card Decks:
Baby gift idea: Christian card
decks
I have found another awesome gift
for new parents as part of their baby gift...your Christian Kids cards!
What a perfect way to start
family devotions with your children....the cards can be a part of your library
or on your coffee table and when it's time for family devotion, the children
can choose the card, read the quote, look up the bible passage and discuss as a
family how God teaches us about the quote on the card! Love it!
Christian families are always
looking for ways to make that family time special, interesting, and
value-added, and these cards will serve this need so well!
Thanks to you!

about how she uses the cards with her clients.
I am a personal health and
wellness coach and have found the Daily Whisper Cards useful as well as
valuable in the work that I do. Part of working with people who want to improve
their health is creating an environment of change, fostering self efficacy, and
improving self esteem.
I use Barbara's inspirations to
do just that! About every 3rd or 4th visit, I simply ask my clients to randomly
choose a card from the pack and then read it aloud and reflect on how it can
apply to their life. They have been 100% effective, because Barbara's daily
inspirations speak to people, no matter what the situation. They serve to
inspire, lift one's spirits, dig deep into the unspoken thoughts, and encourage
along the way. I then ask them to take the card with them...post it at their
work station, on their fridge, or place in a wallet....some have chosen to
share with others! What a great way to create change in one's self, and in
others :)
Thank you Barbara for your
creativity, your inspiration and an effective tool for my clients!

A Working Mom:
"Some days I feel great
about myself and some days, like many women, I have a lot of negative thoughts
about myself run through my mind. I should have reached out to that friend
earlier. I should exercise more so I can be skinnier. I should not work and
give my kids more time. I should have done more from my to-do list today."
"All of the things that go
through my head bring me down and make me doubt the job I’m doing on a daily
basis as a woman and as a mom. The truth is, yes there is always areas I can
improve on but I’m really doing the best I can with the time and energy I
have."
"That’s why I like these
Daily Whisper Inspirational Message cards. They are little business card sized
messages with beautiful colors that keep me thinking positively and encourage
me daily. They neutralize negative beliefs and unhealthy self talk."
"One of my favorite cards
talks specifically to women who work. As a mom who works from home this is
constantly an area where I have a lot of negative self-talk and question myself
a lot. Is this the best thing for my family? Am I giving my kids enough time?
Most of the time these questions are insinuated by society and by others and
not necessarily something brought on by me."
"I have been a stay at home
mom. I have been a working mom. Now I’m a work at home mom and I am so blessed
to be able to do what I do on a daily basis and I think what I am doing is best
for my family. This card reminds me that this is a journey that I am on and my
family and I are on it together. It’s also a daily reminder to express to my
family how much I love them and am thankful for them."

A Yoga Instructor:
Kids Yoga instructor and Whisper
cards for kids
I love the cute illustrations on
both sides of the cards & that the affirmations are relevant/meaningful for
kids.
It is especially nice to see
affirmation cards that are not “goofy” (you know the kind that imply that you
always win, everyone will always like you, the sun is always shining, etc…..
It’s not fair or healthy to give kids the impression that nothing bad will ever
happen or that the only feeling that is okay is “happy”).
The Daily Whisper cards
include affirmations about choices kids have control over (ex: I am
always nice to my friends. I am kind to myself. I choose kind words when I
speak. I am kind to everyone in my family. I am kind to all living creatures. I
am considerate of other people feelings. I help my parents with work around the
house., etc….), affirmations relating to difficult situations kids
commonly face (ex: I don’t let bullies bother me, if they do I tell an
adult I can trust. I know that some kids won’t like me and that’s okay. It is
okay to fail sometimes, that just means I need to learn more and try again. I
can be angry without hurting people of things. , etc….), affirmations that
inspire kids to work hard & have confidence (ex: I try my best and
don’t give up. I am proud of who I am and all that I have learned. I stay
focused on my projects. I enjoy learning new things. I can be great when I put
my mind to it. I am confident in myself. I am patient with myself as I learn
new things. etc….) and affirmations that inspire feelings of
love (ex: I am loved and very loveable. I am very important to my family.
I am happy to be me., etc….).
I used the plush star *&
cards during relaxation in OMazing Kids yoga
with our inpatients at the JD McCarty Center for Children with Developmental
Disabilities last week (where I work full-time as a Speech-Language
Pathologist). I picked out cards that related to the story and activities we
did in yoga that day. It’s important for affirmations to make sense & are
more meaningful when used in context. The kids enjoyed practicing deep
breathing with the star on their belly. Then each child took a card out of the
pocket and read it aloud or I read it to them and they imitated saying
it. Affirmations can be especially powerful for kids with special needs
since they can often feel that something is wrong or needs to be “fixed” in
them."

Kids love Whisper cards
"Ashlyn loves her Daily
Whisper Cards for kids! She reads them all the time, so encouraging and so
uplifting! You are so talented what a wonderful thing to do for our young
children to give them positive words to help them in a world that is so harsh
and so cruel. With violence, and drugs, and being involved in sexual
relationships at early ages, low self esteems and bullying etc.. We need
inspirational things like this to give them. Ashlyn is actually bringing them
to school for "share time"... It would be neat to have these
available at all schools all over!!"
"I am such a huge supporter
of children and raising them with good solid values and morals for them to be
encouraged to live a life that matters.. If we instill this in them at young
ages we better our chances of raising better well adjusted adults in the
future! Ashlyn loves her Daily Whisper Cards for kids! She reads them all the
time, so encouraging and so uplifting!"

Picking the perfect Whisper card
for the day
"Harper and I have been
having fun with these cards all week. Each morning I surprise her with 1
card/message for the day. She loves to see the message + cute picture and then
talk about what the message means. Children are so visual and this is a really
fun/interactive way to teach them about thinking positively, being kind, &
loving themselves as well as others."
"Today’s card had a little
horsey with the message, “I pay attention to my teachers.” I thought
it was a fitting message this morning since Harper was going on her first
school field trip. (pumpkin picking/hayride + riding on her first ever school
bus!)"

New mom speak about Whisper cards
for women:
"All of the women's cards spoke to me, but I found a few that
seemed to apply more specifially to me in my situation. After having a
baby, I struggled with my body image (still do at times) just like the majority
of other moms. It's hard to feel beautiful and sexy when you haven't
washed your hair, have spit up all over you and are in your sweats suffering from
sleep deprivation as evidenced by those scary dark circles under the eyes.'
"I was also used to having
so much contol and structure over my life that I found it hard to adjust to the
things that would randomly come up as they do when you have
children. I wasn't going to have that spotless house where
everything was super organized and pretty. I also had huge guilt for
going back to work and had to come to terms with knowing that it was necessary
for our family and that it would benefit all of us. I had to
release my need for needing control, to let it be, and just know that things
will unfold as they are meant to."
"These cards are a great way
to give yourself a positive affirmation to focus on each day. With the
craziness of everyday life, we often forget to remind ourselves of these
things. As moms we are often the last people we take care of and do so
only if there is extra time in the day (I know extra time? Who has that?)
But these cards are great because they are small and portable and fit right
into my purse. I can pull one out in the morning and set a positive tone
for my day!"

Parents speak about Whisper cards
for kids
"Even with a younger child
you can begin to have these important conversations and the kids cards provide
a hands on and visually pleasing way to encourage it! The cards help
create postive affirmations for dealing with confidence, self love,
friendship, coping in difficult situations and more! These
affirmations are great for children because they help reinforce what we as
parents ar already telling them!"

How Teen Whisper cards are used
in a therapy session
"I wanted to give you an
update on how I have used the cards. At the end of every group meeting, I
have each person select a card from the deck. Then each person reads
their card and talks about what it means to them. We have found, not
surprisingly, that the perfect card finds its way into the hands of the person
who needs it the most. They write down the message and refer to it during
the week. They are also asked to journal about it before our next
meeting."
"During one of our meetings,
time ran away from us. I made the quick decision not to hand out the
cards that week so we could end the meeting on time. As I wrapped up the
meeting, they all looked at me and said, “where are the cards?” “We
can’t end a meeting without the cards!”. Needless to say, we stayed a
while longer so that everyone could have their message for the week. And
we don’t leave a meeting now without an opportunity to “pick a
card”. Thank you so much for the cards and for the blessing they have been
to the young women in my group."
